Android 1.6 now running on my phone

(this entry is backdated since I forgot to post about it)
So after much hassle and no thanks to T-mobile and Samsung my phone is running android 1.6. it took some doing since due to a few  complaints about signal loss the Over the Air (OTA) update was pulled with no announcement on when it would ever resume.  I ended up getting the update in a less then legal way by downloading a copy someone was able to get off their phone and then flashing it to mine via USB.

So far it's been pretty good. aside from the continued lack of application storage and all the bloatware demos they put on it that can't be removed it's been a worthwhile upgrade. I like being able to use google navigation, swipe imput, and the verious applications that 1.6 now allows me to use.

The main downside I've experienced is that for some reason it's having more trouble connecting to my new car stereo then before. Constantly it asks for Bluetooth access requests, sometimes seconds after I say yes to the first one. Also while the hands free connection connects most of the time the Bluetooth audio connection can be really picky connecting only if I tell it to disconnect then reconnect..

Hopefully though I'll be able to figure out a fix for those problems, and hopefully someone will come out with a root for the phone so I can delete all the useless demos.
